Privacy Policy

1. Who we are and what this covers

Dependably is a brand of MoonlitLabs Computing Ltd., a Canadian company ("we" and "us"). This policy covers personal information we collect through dependably.ca, through email with us, and through our paid hosted services: Dependably Cloud, the hosted edition of Dependably Packages, and the hosted plans for Dependably StatusCheck, our monitoring and status page product (together, the "Cloud Services"). Software of ours that you run on your own infrastructure sends us nothing. This policy forms part of our Terms of Service.

2. Content in a Cloud Service

Artefacts, packages, models, monitor configurations, status page content, and similar material belong to your organization. We process it on your organization's behalf under the Terms of Service or its written agreement with us. We do not use customer content or personal information to train, fine-tune, or evaluate AI models, ours or anyone else's, and no third-party AI service receives it. No AI function in our products uses personal information to influence its responses, and we do not make decisions about you solely by automated means. 3. What we collect and why

• Website visitors. Standard server data (IP address, browser, referrer, pages requested), used to run the site and detect abuse. Google Analytics runs only if you accept it in the banner (section 6).
• Accounts. Your name, work email, organization, role, and sign-in data, used to operate your account and send you service email. Administrators of your organization's account can see your account details.
• Usage and billing. Account-level usage records and billing contact details. Our payment processor handles card details; we do not store card numbers.
• Status page subscribers. Your email address and the page you subscribed to, used only to send the updates you asked for. Every notification carries an unsubscribe link.
• Email with us. The thread, so we can resolve the matter and have the history when you write again.

4. How we share it

We do not sell personal information. We disclose it only to service providers that process it for us under contract (hosting, payments, email, support tooling, error monitoring, and website analytics), where the law requires it, and to a successor if our business or a product is sold, merged, or financed, in which case this policy continues to apply unless you are told otherwise.

5. Where it is processed

Dependably Cloud will be hosted in AWS Canadian regions, with backups kept in Canada. Some of our providers process data outside Canada, mainly in the United States, where it is subject to the laws of that country. Personal information we hold may be stored or processed outside the province or country where you live.

6. Cookies

We set one first-party cookie to remember your answer to the cookie banner, and we use local storage for your theme and language. Google Analytics runs only if you accept it in the banner, with no advertising features and no cross-site tracking. We set no marketing cookies. 7. How long we keep it

We keep personal information for as long as it is needed for the purposes in this policy or as required by law, then delete or anonymize it. Content in a Cloud Service is handled as the Terms of Service provide.

8. Security

We use safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, described in our security overview at dependably.ca/security-overview. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the required regulators as the law requires.

9. Your rights

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it (some records we must keep, and we will say which), withdraw a consent you gave us, or object to a use of it, by emailing privacy@dependably.ca. We verify identity first and respond within the time the applicable law allows.

We are subject to British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. If Quebec's private-sector privacy law or the GDPR applies to your information, you have the corresponding rights under those laws through the same address.

10. Children's privacy

Our products are business tools and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from, or market to, anyone under 18 or under the age of majority in their jurisdiction if that is higher; if you believe we have, email privacy@dependably.ca.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always at dependably.ca/privacy with its effective date, and material changes are notified as the Terms of Service provide.
